jelly go corporate for Orange

From sparkling wine to mobile phones, our jelly motion department has indeed been busy lately!

In addition to Trentodoc, our motion guru Elliot was asked to supply some lovely corporate animations for Orange via the London ad agency, EHS Brann. He collaborated with their in-house creatives to produce a series of four simple, linear and (we believe) beautifully crafted two-minute animations that reinforced Orange’s ethos and values for the company’s corporate website.

magazines <3 jelly london!

We’re really really super excited about us and our amazing artists being in the press this week:

alisoncr_blog

a) Our jelly bean with a love for hand-jobs (-of the lettering nature, that is!), Alison Carmichael has landed herself a 4 page article in the current Creative Review; discussing everything from her self-promotional career, from the notorious ‘C**T poster’  to  ‘Exquisite Hand Jobs’ for the Creative Circle; and most recently, ‘Clean Me’.

computer-arts_blogb) As you all know, each month we release news on one of our artists in an “Artist of the Month” campaign.  Our March campaign for Steve Scott landed us some friendly attention from Julia at Computer Arts Projects!!  We’ve been given page 14 on our Artist of the Month campaign, including a HUGE illustration from our latest artist Steve Scott – what better way to introduce him to the industry?

So, go out there and buy Creative Review and Computer Arts Projects!!

Collaboration for Trentodoc

jelly hello!

Not so long ago, our artists Neil Duerden and Elliot got a chance to collaborate and produce a TV commercial for the sparkling wine company, Trentodoc. It gave jelly the opportunity to join forces with Amsterdam-based talent Agent: Unit to provide a slick 2d and 3d mix, that took Neil’s distinctive illustrative elements and animated them for spots on Italian TV. The final TVC was a 20” with end graphics added in-house at Leo Burnett (advertising agency) in Turin.

Nice work boys….

Barney chases rainbows in Miami

barney-star-chaser-copy1

Recently, our Barney went on his annual excursion to South Beach, Miami…chasing rainbows.

Most of his life, Barney has lived in the clouds, woo-ing the rays of sun and frolicking with the high-soaring birds and sprites that dwell therein. Since he was young, he has been obsessed with catching rainbows. He now has a collection of thousands of rainbows which he keeps as pets, feeding them on pure thoughts and smiles, which keep them happy.

As you can see from his photo, this trip has proved a particular success and now Barney has the task of intergrating his “American rainbows” with the many other different and vibrant types he keeps. In order to catch them he has to first mesmerise them and then hypnotise them with fluid movements and coo-ing. When he has them rocking in ecstasy, he cuddles them and places them gently in a velvet box for their trip home.

The clothes you ask?

Well, it’s a little known fact that rainbows just love Don Johnson, of Miami Vice fame. Barney has adapted to this by using his shiny suit and rolled-up sleeves as bait to attract and placate these colourful, lively little beasts.

He was not visiting clients, honestly.

Dan enjoys a fiesta

….  not literally (a booo!).

mumford_fiesta

Our bearded jelly bear, Dan Mumford, was asked to produce some rather colourful illustrations for the latest Ford Fiesta campaign.  Although it’s only small, one of his bespoke personal pieces can be seen on the top television! (a larger version can be seen in the bottom right hand corner).

Keep an eye out!!

Sandra Suy in the Economist

style

jelly hello!

One of our lovely fashion illustrators, Sandra Suy, has been commissioned for her elegant style by The Economist.  Sandra’s illustration of a model accompanies an article on fashion jewellery – in particular, cocktail rings!  This can be seen in the Spring 2009 issue of Intelligent Life magazine.

Heroes of Troy

jelly hello!

BBC Schools online asked our lovely illustrator Poked Studio to design some contemporary, computer game-like illustrations for their latest musical learning section – based on the life of the ancient Greek, Troy!

Not only has he designed the backgrounds for each section, but artwork to go with each song.  If you fancy a giggle, we recommend checking out a few of them on the website:

We Miss Charlie

charlie2

Some of you may know that our lovely Charlie has been on and off work for some time now with all sorts of ghastly ear, nose and throat problems.

Basically, she’s not been herself since last Autumn and has been in constant discomfort. Booo!!

Well, goddamn it all, we’d had enough!! We scraped all our jelly pennies together (OK OK, not really, she has insurance) and sent her off to some swanky Harley Street fighter-pilot-surgeon dude, who has hopefully drilled her some new sinuses (that actually work and don’t give her constant pain and an achy-face!).

Soooo, although she’s still at home recuperating from the operation, we hope to have her back soon firing on all cylinders because, well, we miss her, a lot.

Get well soon Charlie Face-Ache. We love you!

The Whole jelly Crew.

In the last few weeks, Creative Handbook have released their 2009 edition full of artwork and the like…

The simple but captivating front cover was illustrated by non-other than our Artist Of The Month, Brand Nu!

CHB approached jelly before Christmas to create some design ideas.  We had versions from our other jelly babies Damien, Ingi, Jan and Migy (see thumbnails below)
