say hello to Tony Wilson!

tony_superhero

Since the beginning of jelly, we have had an in-house team of super-artists; artists who can replicate any style, who can discreetly edit images, produce artwork to often the most impossible of client deadlines, and are always on hand to help us at our times of desperate need…

A once secret bunch of folk hidden under the cloak of “jelly house” , they are slowly starting to emerge into the limelight.  We are proud to introduce you to our artist, once described as a “superhero” by Phil at Presky Maves:

If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find him, maybe you can hire… Tony Wilson.

another tattoo inspired by Alison Carmichael

At the beginning of last week, our hand-lettering guru received a really lovely e-mail:

Hi Alison

I came across your work on the Creative Review blog and fell in love with your work at first sight. So much so that your c*nt piece and other hand lettering styles were the inspiration for my tattoo.

I’ve had a lot of people commenting on how great it looks, while it’s not EXACTLY the same, it’s HEAVILY inspired by your work and I’m proud to tell people so!

I just wanted to give you a heads up to the posting on my blog and say thank you for your beautiful inspirational hand work!

Sam

Going by the pictures, we can’t imagine how painful that artwork was to do!! EEP!

Well done, Sam. You’re very brave!

London Allotment Wars!

TIMES-GARDEN-WAR-Neil_Duerden

jelly hello!

Our jelly baby Neil Duerden has taken a step back from world domination to do some colourful editorial illustrations for the Times Style Magazine.

One of his favourite pieces is for an article on fashionable London allotments and the competitiveness they are creating.

Neil tells us he has an allotment and has no trouble with his pumkin growing.

What a lucky devil!

Giorgia Roversi is OURS!

Things at jelly have been a little crazy for the past month… as we mentioned, we have been updating all our promotional material and taking on new artists left, right and centre and generally preparing ourselves for this new financial year!

It all started with Giorgia Roversi when we received an e-mail entitled “little visual splinters to place underneath your gums” – and she was certainly accurate…

Welcome to her surreal, quirky and flamboyant world:

Matt Johnstone – superhero for the day!

heroes_run_email_06

jelly good morning!

last week our artist Matt Johnstone, known for his map designs and artwork on the Nokia animation featured at the IMAX, contacted us with a rather amusing photograph.

It was taken at the recent Heroes Run where he donned a red cape and blue tights, to run along the Brighton seafront for the charity Pass it On.

The charity are hoping to enter the Guiness Book of World Records for the most people dressed as superheroes in one place – we wish them all the best of luck!!

Jemillo promotes Peter Pan!

JemRobinsonPanPOSTER

she has also got a brand new website featuring her latest work – check it out here!

Poke_FHM

For all you FHM readers out there, our jelly baby Poked Studio recently designed the artwork for the Robocrops article!

DM campaign

Our friends at Proximity asked us to help them with their latest campaign for Fairy Non Bio, by producing some rather soft, cuddly and cuuuuute illustrations!

Our in-house jelly team illustrated the DM campaign which will be going through doors around the UK; the campaign itself is a white t-shirt covered in Fairy-washed sheep and ladybirds (with no animal cruelty in the process, we promise!)

Additionally, we illustrated the components of an on-line game where you can squirt average-looking animals with Fairy Non-Bio and turn them into fluffy bundles of joy!! The website is quite a giggle, so we recommend you check it out by clicking here!!

A dynamic Duerden for SkullCandy…

jelly hello!

Our boy Duerden has recently created a dynamic piece for the off-the-wall earphone and electrical company “SkullCandy”. Apparently, this piece focuses on movement and the attitude of the end user…

We think it captures the summer festival vibe – anyone for a silent disco??

Dolph is our May Artist of the Month!

Dolph is a fantastic new talent who has recently joined jelly.

He caught our eye with his dynamic and energetic animations and has wowed us with his illustration and character design!

Describing his style as “an urbanish twisted fairytale”, he has over 10 years experience in animation; all starting from his hometown, Rio de Janeiro!

His clientele has ranged from MTV to Sony, Coca-Cola and the Cartoon Network. His main inspirations are old sci-fi movies, which has led him to work on special effects for feature films such as Chronicles of Narnia and Hellboy!

You may have seen him in Stash Magazine with his Anime Network piece called “My Favourite Show” or amongst the talent in the Motion Graphics Collection DVDs.

View his still-frames on our Artist of the Month webpage!!
