A down to earth wall doodle

Down to Earth restaurant owner, Khalid Owner used to dabble in property before he found his true passion for organic, holistic living and farming. Now into his second successful year in the foodie business, we sit in the relaxed and elegantly styled dining room which was once a bank on Kensington High Street.

Khalid wanted to add something special to the large, white wall at the end of his restaurant, a monochromatic wall doodle would add a unique and hand crafted charm to the space. He surfed Google to find some inspiration and came across jelly London’s wall mural works by the imaginative and smiley, Jo Bird. After discussing the brief, she was instantly commissioned and packing up her vintage school project and inky marker pens.

Do you hear the people sing?

With the upcoming release of Les Miserables the movie being the hottest topic on the lips of theatre-land fanatics at the moment, Nylon Magazine NYC ran an article on a young girl’s relationship to the stage show.

do you hear the people sing?

Art director, Evan Campisi wanted an edgy & contemporary line illustration by Jelly artist Carine Brancowitz to show the nostalgic element of ‘a young girl’s emotive experience’ within the essay.  This quirky, highly finished creation by Carine is quite striking – It goes to print this November. The dream lives indeed.

Cluedo-Inspired Wall Art

Creative marketing agency, Blue Hive recently had their walls hand-decorated by Jo Bird.

Blue Hive’s Charlotte Rose tells us more…

“I was delighted when the opportunity arose to actually manage a project where I could indulge my guilty childhood pleasure of drawing on the walls.

Blue Hive decided a while back to name each of the meeting rooms in the agency after the infamous crime scenes of a Cluedo board, so we now have a Billiard room, a Library, a Kitchen and the rest. To push the theme further our ECD instructed us to go doodle-tastic on the white space in each room. She wanted murder mystery, debauchery and humour along with a skilled artist to capture all the magic in monochrome with markers.

The next step was to get in touch with Jelly London…” continue.

Plump It Up!

London advertising agency, Euro RSCG London approached our house illustration team to help advertise V05′s new hair product range!

The new range works for different types of girls; to show this, jelly house needed to produce a series of executions reflecting a variety of female personalities. Each execution was designed to look like the featured girl had written and doodled over the top of her own photograph.
