Jelly drives DSA theory test to a modern landscape

Jelly will be the driving force behind updated hazard perception clips in the British driving theory test.

Jelly drives DSA theory test to a modern landscape

The hazard perception test is the interactive section of the Driving Standards Agency’s (DSA) driving theory test and assesses new drivers on their ability to react to scenarios and obstacles they could meet whilst on the road. Using a formulated, unique approach, Jelly will be innovating 130 hyper-real computer-generated imagery (CGI) clips to replace the current live action footage.

For the last decade, Jelly – part of Three Blind Mice Limited – has produced innovative CGI solutions for commercial projects. As a format, CGI offers infinite control over environments, vehicles and characteristics of movement within each clip, as well as potentially increasing the commercial viability of the test in the future.

The update to the hazard perception test with modern computer generated imagery will be complete by the summer of 2013.

After Tomorrow

What if you woke up tomorrow and everything had changed? Money is worthless. Your friends are gone. Armed robbers roam the streets. No one is safe. What would you do?

after tomorrow

We’d ask Adam Haynes to illustrate the scene, of course! And that’s exactly what our friends at Oxford University Press decided to do for the award-winning writer, Gillian Cross and her latest children’s novel After Tomorrow.

Oxford Sparks: Large Hadron Collider

Did you know what happened in a Large Hadron Collider? Neither did we until we produced this comical animation for Oxford University’s online resource, Oxford Sparks.

Oxford Sparks: Large Hadron Collider

We were approached by Oxford University to create a series of humorous, science-related animations. Jelly’s Karen Cheung was the obvious choice due to her science background (she has a degree in zoology) and her comical character design!
