Jelly London wanted to create something extraordinary and enjoyable this Easter so we had a good old think about which brand we would like to work with on an interactive, collaborative and creative project.

Now when we thought about Easter the first thing that came to mind was chocolate, but that was just too obvious for us and chocolate is not made of jelly either.

Whilst we pondered together munching through the bags of luscious Jelly Belly® jelly beans which we keep up in our Charlotte Mews studio, an idea struck us like a booming flavour explosion – we realised that our dream candy collaboration for this project was without a doubt, Jelly Belly® UK.

Come January 20th the Observer will launch its Ethical Awards. The organisation rewards both people and organisations who make ethical living both accessible and aspirational.

John Speight, Creative Director of 999Design, commissioned jelly London’s in-house chameleon, Tony Wilson to design a tattoo which celebrates the commitment to change. This artwork was then added to a beautiful model in post production and will be the hero image of the event. You can follow the latest from the Observer awards on twitter @ObsEthAwards

Cycling through app land


Art Editor of Future Publishing, Paul Blachford, contacted our gifted and intricate illustrator Matt Lyon after spotting his artwork on the front of Time Out Magazine.

He wanted Matt to design an illustration which could add vivacity to a feature about the use of sports and fitness apps in today’s tech-hungry society. This article features in the January 2013 edition of ‘Windows: The Official Magazine‘.

2. What’s your favourite snack whilst working?
In Spain it’s called “quicos”, it’s a kind of fried corn snack.

3. What’s your favourite music to work to?
The Conan the Barbarian (1982) soundtrack. Seriously.
