Alison Carmichael’s hand-crafted lettering skills were enlisted to craft the outdoor executions to promote the latest speciality coffee to join the McCafé range; the Mocha.
McDonald’s UK has launched a new campaign by Leo Burnett. The TV commercial shares a bunch of everyday life ‘tricky moments’ which are resolved by taking a coffee break, with other 48 and 6 sheet posters to support the overall campaign message.
Alison’s elegant chalk typography hints at the nostalgia of café culture chalkboard. In her first execution the Mocha is introduced whilst the second presents the full McCafé range. Photographed by Jason Lowe.
